Disclosure Policy
The Federal Trade Commission maintains a set of rules for Disclosure Compliance. These rules are set in place to ensure that readers of web media (like our website) know if the person is partnered with a different company. What this means for us is that our readers need to know if we are making money by sharing a link or product. In compliance with the FTC guidelines, please assume any/all of the external links on twopeopleoneadventure.com are affiliate links from which we receive a small commission from sales of certain items.
What exactly are affiliate links?
An affiliate link brings you to an external company website where you can make purchases. When a reader clicks on an affiliate link located on twopeopleoneadventure.com and purchases an item, the reader buys the item from the seller directly (for example, Amazon). Amazon then pays Adam & Emily a small commission for promoting their website or products through their affiliate program. Prices are exactly the same for you if your purchase is made through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. You will NOT pay more by clicking through to the link.
What affiliate programs are we associated with?
Currently, Adam & Emily are only a member of the Amazon Associates affiliate program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon’s website. Amazon offers a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links. Each of your purchases via our Amazon affiliation links supports our cause at no additional cost to you.
The buttons on our site containing the word Amazon and/or the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates and are not associated with us. If we link to an Amazon product (with a special code for affiliates embedded in the link), and a reader places an item in their "shopping cart" through that link within 24 hours of clicking the link, we get a small percentage of the sale. Amazon links are not “pay per click”; however, if you click on the product link and shop around Amazon and purchase something else, we will get commission on that sale. Any time you click on a link that goes to amazon.com, it is an Amazon affiliate link.
